Legal assistance to mass media, as well as to legal entities and physical persons whose interests were hurt as a result of a publication in the mass media.
1. Analysis and examination of published information (both before publication and after) in order to define:
- places where interests of legal entities and physical persons are hurt,
- phrases which could be considered as those denigrating honour and dignity of legal entities and physical persons, as well as containing defamation,
- violations of the Law on press and other mass media, as well as other normative acts of the Republic of Latvia (Civil Law, Law on advertisement, Law on competition, Criminal law etc.).
2. Legal assistance in removing the above-mentioned discrepancies and violations, dispute settlement.
3. Consultation rendering in respect of submitting claims and law suits on the part of those persons whose interests were hurt as a result of a publication in the mass media.
4. Analysis of claims, warnings, law suits and other documents received from the persons whose interests were hurt as a result of a publication in the mass media, consultations on further legal actions, participation in negotiations concerning dispute settlement.
5. Legal assistance to those people whose interests were hurt as a result of a publication in the mass media, regarding preparation of claims, warnings, law suits and other documents, defining the size of compensation.
6. Representation of the client in the court, Competition council, police and other authorities of the Republic of Latvia regarding the issues on dispute settlement with mass media.
7. Client support in the form of consultations.
